This morning, clouds the saturated blue of leftover dusk in the east, with the lit-whiskey sky behind, and over both the loose threads of birches frayed into twin and triumvirate cones. Little crowns of green fingers pinching together like a vanishing-trick, like a blown kiss.

I saw this not walking but standing waiting for a ride in to work early this morning. Work is -- vigorous -- right now. End of fiscal year, lots of giraffe contracts.

I'm worried I've missed the chocolate lilies again this year, though I haven't even seen the easter lilies yet. If you see them, will you let me know?
